Chris Morris (Retained)

Before the South African all-rounder joined DD in 2016, he had been a member of the CSK and the RR squad. Last season, he earned 12-caps for the Delhi franchise and bagged 13-wickets at an economy rate of 7. With the bat, he scored 195-runs at a strike rate of 179. Morris was part of the squad that played a T20 against New Zealand this year. He bowled three-overs and picked two after giving away just 10-runs. 

What to expect: He will be used as a genuine all-rounder and might even play most of the games if he remains fit. He could bowl with the new ball in the powerplay and can also operate during the slog overs. The South African can also be used as a floater in the batting order. His experience of playing and winning games in the IPL might see him get the nod initially.
