Glenn Maxwell (Retained)

The Aussie all-rounder was a part of the Delhi Daredevils in 2012 and was bought by the Mumbai Indians at the IPL Player Auction 2013. After not getting enough starts at the two franchises, he joined KXIP in his third season. Last year, the 28-year-old played 11-matches and scored 179-runs at a strike rate of 144. He also featured for Melbourne Stars in the recent BBL.

What to expect: He is expected to win quite a few games for Punjab. However, like we saw with Miller in the last season, the extra burden of captaincy could affect his performance with the willow. But be that as it may, he has been in great form with the bat in the shorter version of the game and his biggest plus is his ability to be flexible in the batting order. He will also use himself as a part-time offie in the tournament. Remember, he has the tendency to break partnerships. All said, if he disappoints with the bat, we can expect another dull season for KXIP.
