FULL MATCH: Mohun Bagan beat Colombo FC in second leg of AFC Cup Qualfiers, progress to Playoffs
THE MARINERS TRIUMPHED over the Yellow Submarine at Rabindra Sarobar last night at the second leg encounter of the first round AFC Cup qualifiers.
Hosting Colombo FC after beating them 2-1 at the away leg, Mohun Bagan were able to continue their good form and register a 2-1 victory at the home leg as well.
Bagan saw the return of Sony Norde which energized their attack and got them in the lead near the half hour mark through a goal by the very same left winger. The lead was doubled in the 56th minute by Darryl Duffy through Sony Norde's assist and though Momas Yapo pulled one back for Colombo FC towards the end of the game, the Mariners had already ensured their qualification for the playoff round of the AFC Cup qualifiers.
