Adding to the power packed ATK defence, he put on a steady performance in the 2016 final of the Indian Super League. His badly bleeding head injury needed bandaging and stayed on the field even after getting fixed up for the injury for a second time. The goal that got ATK level was a brilliant one as he was heavily marked and yet managed to get it past Stack under pressure.
