Eugeneson Lyngdoh says Bengaluru FC are raring to seize "historic opportunity" vs Johor

INDIAN INTERNATIONAL and Bengaluru FC key player Eugeneson Lyngdoh reiterated today that tomorrow's match against Johor Darul Ta'zim represents a 'historic opportunity' for Indian football.

Speaking to the press today, Lyngdoh said that in trying to become the first Indian club to enter the AFC Cup final, BFC are representing all of India,

"It's the AFC Cup so obviously we're representing India. We're carrying the hopes of the entire nation. And we want to carry it forward into something greater."

He said that all the players in the squad are raring to face the daunting task of overcoming the opposition tomorrow,

"The mood in the camp is very positive. Of course Johor will give everything to defend their title. But it will be up to us to resist them... it's a historic opportunity and we must be up for the challenge."

Bengaluru FC have played 4 matches against Johor so far. They lost 3 of them and drew one. Eugeneson has scored twice against them so far and if the Blues are to come out victorious tomorrow for the first time the Shillong lad is going to have to play a major role in it.
