Play-by-Play: ISL Game 4 - Alfaro's brace helps NEUFC beat FC Goa, grab second win in a row
NORTHEAST UNITED caused a major upset tonight when they beat FC Goa 2-0 in the fourth match of ISL 2016 at Guwahati tonight.
Both the goals came from Emiliano Alfaro; the first one due to Goa keeper Laxmikant Kattimani's blunder in an attempted clearance, and then from a brillint cross which Alfaro finished with a grounded shot that went through Kattimani's feet.
FC Goa made many attempts to get back in the game and created periods of pressure on the home team. But a couple of bungled finishes and some great goalkeeping from Subrata Paul kept the Gaurs from opening their account, making sure that the Highlanders registered their second victory in 72 hours and went to the top of the table.
