Ashwin inspired by Sindhu’s heroics in Rio; wants daughter to take up badminton

SHUTTLER PV SINDHU has already become a superstar in India after her heroics in the ongoing Rio Olympics. The lanky athlete from Telangana went onto to capture the Silver Medal in the ladies singles event in badminton. 

After her dramatic success in Brazil, the entire nation, let alone the badminton fraternity has been showering the 21-year-old with praises and wishes. 

From Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli to Salman Khan, almost every India celebrity chipped in with congratulatory messages. Not one to be left out, India’s premier spinner Ravi Ashwin too marveled at the exploits of Sindhu.
