BCCI forms legal committee to deal with complexities of Lodha panel recommendations

THE (BCCI) has formed a special legal committee to deal with the Lodha panel recommendations. The panel headed by former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju will have three other counsels including BCCI’s council Abhinav Mukherjee.

According to the press release from BCCI, the board members decided to form the panel during the Working Committee meeting at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai, since the Lodha Panel's recommendations 'were complex and would involve large-scale changes to be implemented across the board.'

Meanwhile, the Board also gave a thumbs up to organize a two-match T20 series between India and West Indies in Florida, USA. BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke stated,

“This initiative is path breaking in terms of the expansion of our great sport. It is our endeavour to make every possible effort to connect with fans in different parts of the world.”
