Alastair Cook- The skipper got runs in Manchester and is would be stupid to drop him for the Edgbaston Test. 

Joe Root- Arguably England’s best batsman, who is in prime form and is likely to destroy the Pakistani bowling. 

Stuart Broad- The Lanky bowler will like the conditions in Birmingham and will be amongst the wickets in both innings. 

Dark Horses 

Asad Shafiq- Arguably the best, technically sound batsman in the Pakistani line-up. He is very compact at the crease. 

Chris Woakes- He was simply brilliant as an all-rounder at Lord’s. A genuine value for money buy who can help you win fantasy leagues.
