TFG Fantasy Pundit: Aussie batsmen likely to dominate the Lankan bowlers at Pallekele

Overview

For this round of fantasy cricket between Sri Lanka and Australia, we would recommend you to pick the top-order batsmen from the Aussie camp. From Warner, Khawaja to Burns, everybody is in top form. On the bowling front, Starc returns to the squad but be mindful of his fitness. On the other hand, there are plenty of injuries in the Lankan pace department and you shouldn’t risk them at all.

Probable 11 for the round

AUS- David Warner, Joe Burns, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Adam Voges, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevil, Mitchel Starc, Steven O’Keefe, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood

SRI- Kaushal Silva, Dimruth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Kusal Perera, Dilruwan Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, Suranga Lakmal, Rangana Herath, Nuwan Pradeep

Players who cannot be ignored

David Warner- The devastating opener will fancy his chances against a relatively inexperienced Lankan bowling and might just go hell for leather from the word go.

Steve Smith- Australian skipper’s ability to handle spin with aplomb might turn out to be one of the highlights of the series. A captaincy material in fantasy cricket too.

Rangana Herath- The Lankan veteran will be the main threat for the Aussies in this series. Drop him at your own peril!

Dark Horses

Nathan Lyon- The Aussie offie is only 4 wickets away from 200 scalps in Tests. A genuine wicket-taker in spinner friendly conditions.

Dinesh Chandimal- He has been amongst the runs lately and should be well prepared to contribute with the willow at Pallekele. Also, his keeping will generate points.

TFG Pundit XI: David Warner(C), Joe Burns, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith(VC), Mitchell Marsh, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Dilruwan Perera, Rangana Herath

Happy Hunting!!!
