TFG Fantasy Pundit: Flat wicket expected at Lord's; England batsmen to fetch more points

Overview

For this round of fantasy cricket between Pakistan and England, we would recommend you to pick majority of the England batsmen as they are likely to bat longer and better at what could be a flat surface at Lord’s. On the other hand, the Pakistani batsmen might struggle against the quality England pacers. Remember, Jimmy Anderson won’t feature in this game.

Probable 11 for the round

ENG- Alastair Cook, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Gary Ballance, Jonny Bairstow, James Vince, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Steve Finn, Jake Ball

PAK- Shan Masood, Azhar Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Younis Khan, Misbah ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Wahab Riaz, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Amir, Rahat Ali/Imran Khan

Players who cannot be ignored

Joe Root- Didn’t score heavily against Sri Lanka in the Tests, but he is likely to bat no.3 and on the falt wicket at Lord’s, he can make the Pakistan bowlers pay.

Mohammad Amir- The comeback sensation has been making all the news off the field, but his on-field action with the red-cheery will surely get wickets.

Stuart Broad- With Anderson missing, this lanky pacer will lead the England attack and his accuracy, coupled with bounce will make life difficult for the tourists.

Dark Horses

Asad Shafiq- He might not get quick runs, but his steady approach with the willow in the middle order can certainly help you with handy fantasy points.

Alex Hales- Has been enjoying his role opening the innings and has also performed consistently with the willow.

TFG Pundit XI: Shan Masood, Asad Shafiq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Alastair Cook(vc), Alex Hales, Joe Root(c), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Steve Finn

Happy Hunting!!!
