Amrinder Singh and Alwyn George sign one year contract extension with Bengaluru FC

BENGALURU FC have announced that goalkeeper Amrinder Singh and midfielder Alwyn George have signed a new one-year contract with the Blues i.e. till the end of 2016-17 season.

Amrinder, who was loaned from Pune FC to Bengaluru FC at the beginning of 2016, made his move permanent. The 23-year-old goalkeeper kept nine clean sheets last season and also bagged I-League’s Goalkeeper of the year award. The star goalkeeper said,

“I’m happy to have signed a new deal with Bengaluru FC. The progress that I’ve made as a goalkeeper at this club has helped me win the ‘I-League’s Best Goalkeeper and I’d like to thank the coaching staff, the management and the fans for all their support. I’m looking forward to another season with this club and scripting more history.”

Midfielder Alwyn George, who was signed from Dempo FC in the summer, too penned an extension to his existing deal. The Nagpur-born lad made a string of impressive performances last season, most notably the brace against Ayeyawady United in the AFC Cup. The 24-year-old is delighted to have extended the contract with the I-league champions.

“I'm pleased to sign a new deal with BFC and can't wait to play in front of the West Block Blues."
