Saina in quarters of Badminton Asia Championship, Sindhu exits
FIFTH SEED SAINA NEHWAL continued her winning run as she sealed a place in the quarters of Badminton Asia Championship. She extended her lead in the head-to-head count to 7-0 against Thai shuttler Nitchaon Jindapol, defeating her in straight games 21-14, 21-18.
Chinese shuttler Wang Shixian awaits Saina in the quarter-finals. The third seed leads the head-to-head count 7-6.
Meanwhile, eighth seed Tai Tzu Ying from Taipei ended PV Sindhu's campaign. It was a hard fought match as it went on for three games but Sindhu couldn't keep up the momentum. She lost 21-13, 20-22, 8-21.
