Attri/Reddy settle for silver at the Peru International Challenge

MEN'S DOUBLES DUO OF Manu Attri/Buss Sumeeth Reddy ended as runners-up at the Peru International Challenge. The Indian pair was seeded No. 1 and their road to finals was both easy wins against some and fighting hard against in some.

In the finals they were defeated by second seeds Adam Cwalina/Przemyslaw Wacha from Indonesia. It was hard fought match as it went on for three games. Attri/Reddy found their way back into the match by winning the second game to make it even. The final game was a thriller, it finally went to the Indonesians 30-28.

The top seeds got a bye into the quarters where they defeated Philip Chew/Sattawat Pongnairat of USA 21-13, 21-18. In the semi-finals Attri/Reddy ousted Canadian pair Adrian Liu/Derrick Ng 18-21, 21-19, 21-13.

But they couldn't carry the momentum in the finals and succumbed to defeat.
