UFC Fight Night Tampa Results: Teixeira Knocks Out Rashad Evans

The first round knockout of Rashad Evans and the solid fight between Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres proved to be the major talking points from UFC Fight Night Tampa.

UFC veteran Evans faced Glover Teixeira in the main event of the night and seemed off his game from the start itself. Teixeira then landed a vicious left and right combination to knock out Evans and marked a dominating win in just under 2 minutes.

While the main event ended earlier than expected, the co-main event between Torres and Namajunas went the distance. Both women produced a classic at the fight night and the fight was as close as it could get. In the end, Namajunas won by unanimous decision and leveled their head to head record to 1-1 and in turn setting up an exciting rubber match.

Elsewhere, Khabib Nurmagomedov took his professional MMA record to 23 wins from 23 fights when he knocked out Darrell Horcher in the second round. Cub Swanson also had a solid win as he defeated Hacran Dias through unanimous decision.
