MRI and surgery claims: is Elon Musk trying to back out of Mark Zuckerberg MMA fight?

WILL THEY or won't they?

South African MMA fighters seem to be having a hard time showing up for a fight this year. First, Dircus du Plessis announced he wouldn't make it to the fight against UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya. Now, Elon Musk seems to be delaying his proposed bout against Mark Zuckerberg.

Both of them are citing reasons that include MRI and a possible surgery.

Soon after Elon Musk announced that X would stream the fight between the tech billionaires, and tweeted that he was heavily working out, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that he had proposed a date for the fight which Musk had not agreed to.

Afterwards, Elon Musk opened up about the reason behind him not finalizing a date yet: he was undergoing some MRI over back pain and may need a surgery.

Musk is also fanning an idea that the two would meet in an MMA cage-like setting but instead of fighting, have a debate on certain topics.

Eagle-eyed MMA fans would immediately notice this as a classic behaviour pattern from fighters who are trying to pull out of a fight without the embarrassment of explicitly backing out.

Earlier, TFG already expressed doubt about whether this proposed 'Billionaire Brawl' will ultimately take place; since there are several fundamental questions about the bout that have not been answered - including fight rules (amateur or pro) and weight class.

Unfortunately, the prediction seems to be coming true.
