Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg MMA fight: Mark bulks up; Elon says X will stream bout

THE PROPOSED MMA FIGHT between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk is suddenly looking like it might just happen.

The proposed bout between the two tech billionaires has been mostly treated as a running joke by the fans of the sport. From Dana White being involved in it as the promoter, it being a part of a UFC pay per view card to a proposal to make the Roman Colosseum the venue for the fight... it has all been one surreal thing after the other.

But perhaps a big clue that the two potential combatants are taking it seriously arrived when Zuckerberg was pictured training at New Zealand's famed City Kickboxing gym with UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Then, recently, we heard the news that the Meta founder was gorging on every heavy snack under the sun in an apparent attempt to bulk up. Not many made the connection that bulking up may be Zuckerberg's way of getting ready to fight somebody who was in a higher weight class; i.e. Elon Musk.

Now, Elon Musk has tweeted that the fight between him and Zuckerberg will be live streamed on X (formerly known as Twitter).

So... is the fight happening, then?

Not so fast.

Think about it, why isn't Zuckerberg announcing that Facebook, Instagram and Threads will stream it too? What happened that gave Musk the exclusive right to stream what may just be one of the most popular bouts of all time? And if this is being done for charity, why is it being streamed on a site where videos are free, instead of using a pay-per-view platform to raise money? What weight class will the fight be in and which commission is crazy enough to actually sanction this?

And how will the investors of Tesla and Meta react to their main guys signing up for voluntary brain damage?

There are too many questions unanswered. And until we get details, fans should not fall for what may just be another elaborate troll jobs from Musk, who is known to be into that sort of stuff.
