No special plans to restrict RCB firepower, says Tom Moody
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD COACH TOM MOODY has said that he has no special plans to restrict the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s swashbuckling top order batsmen. The Australian coach told PTI at the Chinnaswamy stadium,
“He (Virat) has been in amazing form. Look, we don’t have any special plans to restrict Virat Kohli. We will be concentrating on executing our plans. If Kohli has a day out or Chris Gayle has a day out or AB de Villiers or whoever that might be that’s something not in our control. What is in our control is executing our plans as efficiently as possible.”
Ahead of their clash against RCB, Moody said he had no concerns over the form of his side.
“I have no concern with the form of these players. They are world class performers and this is a different campaign, different team and different opportunity. I am sure all of them will thrive and have a successful campaign.”
The lanky coach believes the inclusion of left arm pacer Ashish Nehra in his squad has brought a great atmosphere in the dressing room. However, he also added that the absence of star batsman Yuvraj Singh was a big loss to his side but he hopes to consider the southpaw for selection in a couple of weeks.
