Will display good performance against Mumbai, says Westwood, Eugene to make a comeback

THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK IS OVER and players are back to their teams which will boost Mumbai FC as they take on Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. As per the history books, Bengaluru has never beaten Mumbai FC. The result between these two teams has always ended in a draw until this season when the men in yellow and blue beat BFC 2-0 in Mumbai.

Ahead of the match tomorrow, coach of BFC, Ashley Westwood said,

" We're preparing as we've prepared for every other game. We need to win every game so it's just been a normal day at the office," at the pre-match press conference held in Bengaluru.

A good news for BFC is that central midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh has regained full fitness and looks to make a comeback in tomorrow's match.

" Eugene is back to full fitness. We'll have to assess how fit he is mentally, while we know that physically he is," said Westwood.

BFC coach is not taking the Mumbai side as an easy side but also believes that they can put up a good performance.

"Mumbai will make it diffiicult which is their style. We'll look to settle well and not concede to put on a good performance. We're mentally strong enough to put past results out of our minds and put on a good performance."

Lalchhuanmawia Fanai who was also present with his coach for the press conference said,

" Every match is like a final going forward and we're going to give it everything we've got."

Westwood urged fans to come in large numbers and support the team as it makes a big difference to the players.

" We need the fans to get behind the team in numbers and shout for us. They're very passionate and they'll behave themselves. The passion and the excitement from the stands makes a big difference to the players and it's all in good spirit."
