Sania/Dodig go down to Vesnina/Soares in the semi-final of Australian Open
TOP SEEDS Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig's dream run at the Australian Open came to an end after the pair lost their semi-final encounter against Elina Vesnina and Bruno Soares 5-7, 6-7(4) in Melbourne today.
Although there was little to choose between the two teams, Vesnina/Soares came up with more winners 38 in comparison to Mirza/Dodig 28.
In the end, after two tight sets, Russian-Brazilian duo won 79 points overall and moved into the finals in 90 minutes.
