Top seed Srikanth enters the semi-final of Indonesia Masters GPG
TOP SEED KIDAMBI SRIKANTH beat 15th seed Teck Zhi Soo of Malaysia 21-10, 21-5 to claim a spot in the semi-final of the Indonesia Masters Grand Prix Gold in Malang, Indonesia on Friday.
The world no. 9 just needed 25 minutes to oust the Malaysian. With every passing minute, each point fell in favour of Srikanth who had a commendable control and maintained it throughout the match. The first set ended with a difference of 11 points and if that wasn't enough, the Indian shuttler bettered it in the second, winning by huge margin of 16 points.
After a long run of disappointing exits, the top seed has now found his rhythm back and at the right moment. He will now face 11th seed Ginting Anthony of Indonesia in the semi-final.
