Attri/Reddy ousted in semi-finals at Brazil Open
TOP SEEDS AND LEADING INDIAN MEN'S DOUBLES PAIR Manu Attri/ B Sumeeth Reddy had to bow out of the Yonex Brazil Open in Rio after losing to Huang Kaixiang/ Zheng Siwei from China 17-21, 14-21 in the semi-finals.
The top seeds won all the their group stage matches and also passed through the semi-finals, but eventually lost against the Chinese pair.
They were the only Indian shuttlers who survived the group stages and went ahead in the tournament whereas others lost all their respective matches and was ousted during the group stages.
The Indian pair of Attri/Reddy have been in good touch, but they need to work on consistency and performing under pressure.
