Attri/Reddy and Pawar ousted in quarter-finals at the Scottish Open
INDIAN DOUBLES PAIR AND TOP SEEDS Manu Attri/B Sumeeth Reddy and 11th seed Anand Pawar men's singles shuttler ended their campaign at the Scottish Open Grand Prix in their respective quarter-final matches in Glasgow on Friday.
Attri-Reddy were ousted by fifth seeds Andrew Mills and Peter Mills of England in straight sets 17-21, 15-21.
The lone face in the men's category 29-year-old Pawar went down fighting against the top seed shuttler Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark 21-12, 10-21, 13-21.
By winning the first set the Indian put immense pressure on Hans but then the latter eventually bounced back and exhibited his performance like a top seed by winning the following two sets which cost the Indian the match.
