Kerala Blasters sack Peter Taylor; asst. coach Trevor Morgan takes over reins
KOCHI-BASED ISL outfit Kerala Blasters have parted ways with head coach Peter Taylor, following the team's poor performances in the competition.
The decision was taken mutually, the team announced.
Blasters, finalists last season, are currently rock-bottom of the ISL table, with just one win from six matches and losing four on the trot.
Taylor, a former England U21 manager, had taken charge in the summer, replacing compatriot and last season's player-manager David James.
Assistant coach Trevor Morgan will take over the reins for the rest of the season.
This is the first time an ISL franchise has parted with their head coach in the middle of the tournament.
