MOHAMMEDAN SPORTING BOUNCED BACK in their Durand Cup camapaing with a win over Indian Navy.
After a 3-1 loss to Mumbai City, MSC needed a win in their second outing in order to make sure they have a chance at getting to the quarter finals.
The navy team, amking their debut in Durand 2023, put up a good fight against the I-League cub. David Lalensanga got the Black Panthers shortly after the second half started, and soon Remsanga doubled their lead; but the Navy kept trying to make a comeback which ultimately produced a goal in added time via Britto.
The win has taken Mohammedan to the second place in the table but if they want to make it to the knockout stages, they must beat Jamshedpur FC's mostly young side in the last match of the group.
