Durand Cup 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Punjab FC held by Bangladesh Army
PUNJAB FC WERE held to a goalless draw by Bangladesh Army Football Team at Durand Cup today.
Bangladesh Army have ended their Durand campaign with two draws and one loss, holding two ISL clubs to stalemates. Although they are eliminated from the competition, this result reflects well on them, as a team that's usually limited to amateur level domestic football.
For Punjab FC, this is a worrying start to their campaign. They already have a slim chance of making it to the quarter finals following a 2-0 loss to Mohun Bagan in their campaign opener. The team is still trying to find its feet, and given the elevated level of competition they are likely to face in ISL, the early signs indicate a season full of struggles.
PFC will play their last Group A match against East Bengal on 16th August.
