Young rider dies after accident at the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship

A RACING ACCIDENT has claimed the life of a prodigy in a tragic turn of events.

13 year old Copparam Shreyash Hareesh, who was participating in the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship in Chennai, met with an accident that took his life.

Shreyas had qualified for the pole position in the rookie race at the Madras International Circuit, but soon after the race started he fell on a turn and suffered a head injury that took his life.

He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead there.

The incident has shocked the entire Indian racing community. The MMSC president Ajit Thomas announced that the races scheduled for this weekend have been cancelled as the whole fraternity and the fans grieve with the family who have lost a precious child.
