Dream 11 Fantasy Cricket tips for India vs New Zealand, 2nd ODI (21st January 2023)

The 2nd MasterCard ODI Trophy will be played between India and New Zealand, at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Naya Raipur Chhattisgarh in India. The match will start at 1:30 PM IST.
In the first Mastercard ODI Trophy Indian Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and choose to bat. The Indian team had a good start of 60 runs for the first wicket before Rohit Sharma got out for 34 runs. Shubman Gill carried on his merry hitting the New Zealand bowlers to all parts of the ground and ended up getting 208 runs of 149 balls leading India to a score of 349 runs.

The Indian Bowlers had the game under control for majority of the overs and were victorious in reducing the New Zealand team to 131 runs for 6 wickets.  The New Zealand team had just one partnership between Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell going for them, other than that their batting was unimpressive and mediocre. The new Zealand top and middle order was completely decimated If not  for Michael Bracewell’s  brilliant hundred. Had he not contributed well, India would have won this game by over a hundred runs.

Now let’s talk about the second match of the Mastercard ODI Trophy.  With the recent performances, India has proved to be one of the most successful cricket sides in the game, with a batting line-up that is stacked with star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and the welcome rise of a fire cracker of a bowler like Mohammed Siraj. If they keep this vibe going the future is going to be quite a dazzle. On the New Zealand side, the star of the team for now is likely to be Michael Bracewell, who has broadly  reserved a space as one of the most promising batsmen in the squad, but rest of the team needs to introspect hard.

As far as pitches go, they seem to be quite unpredictable these days. If the Chhattisgarh pitch is a low and slow track then the batsmen should play most of their shots off the front foot, presenting straight bat to the ball and cut down on the horizontal bat shots. If there is a modest bit of bounce on the pitch, then one can play some horizontal shots like the cut and the pull which are shots that are played with a horizontal bat.

Al in all both sides have an incredible amount of excitement to offer and make for a nerve-racking show.

TFG  Fantasy Stars for India VS New Zealand:

Shubman Gill can play the front foot punch square gloriously well through the offside and also hit the cut shots nonchalantly through the covers. He can also play the lofted straight drive straight over long-off and long-on.  He is certainly a player for the future who has a great sense of timing the cricket ball. If he settles down he has the habit of getting a big hundred.
Mohammed Siraj has played 20 one day international  matches, scored 27 runs with the bat, with an average of 6.75,  a strike rate of 48.21. He can bowl a virtuous in swinger at pace and also bowl the out swinger terrifically well. His quick bouncer doesn’t give the batsman any time to relax against him and his slowball is exquisite. All in all he is a terrific fast bowler to have in your side.
