The first MasterCard ODI Trophy will be played between India and New Zealand, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad in India. The match will start at 1:30 PM IST.
After dominating Sri Lanka in the One day Series now it’s time for the India New Zealand MasterCard ODI series. The New Zealand series will be a challenge for the Indian team as the New Zealand side has some extremely talented cricketers who stand tall in the field of cricket and are known to be a well-balanced squad, with a mix of experience and youth.
Some of their strengths include a strong bowling attack, led by Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi. They also have great batting experience through the likes of Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham. Furthermore, they have some quality all-rounders in Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner who can contribute with both the ball and the bat. As far as weaknesses are concerned, New Zealanders are prone to occasional collapses and lack of depth in their batting which might be a problem.
Indian team is mighty high on confidence after bamboozling Srilanka in the one day series by 3-0 and one of the positives is that India’s two main batsmen have come back in to into prime form they have been striking the ball well in the recently concluded Sri Lanka series. On top of that are bowling line up is in lethal form specially Mohammed Siraj he has been bowling terrific well since 1 year so it’s not going to be easy for New Zealand to face the Indian team in home condition, because the Indian team is a strong and experienced squad with some of the top batting and bowling players in the world.
Some of their strengths include an experienced batting line-up, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill, who have shown consistent scoring form in the game. The bowling attack consisting of Mohmad siraj, Umran Malik, Mohammed Shami and Yuzvendra Chahal, is capable of taking on any batting line-up. India's spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Shahbaz Ahmed, have also proved to be great assets. On the other hand, they have been working on their inconsistency in the batting, especially in the middle overs, which make them a fierce opponent.
It’s going be to an enthralling series to watch, so stay glued to your couches, sit back and enjoy.
