#TFGtake: Predictions for Indian Super League Round 4 -- Winners & Losers
THE ISL PLOT IS increasingly thickening as the battle to the Top 4 has gone through its first three rounds. Although the competition is still at a nascent stage and the teams are new, and many coaches continue to tinker with formations and combinations, we can see some patterns emerging, some teams proving themselves to be ahead of the pack, while some others faltering for various reasons, but capable of picking up as the intensity builds up.
As the early wins and losses kick in and the teams now enter a crucial phase of the tournament, we at TFG are diving into the realms of possibilities and predicting the outcomes of all the matches, round by round. That is to say we are putting in writing and willing to bet on what we talk and argue about all day in office. It's fun, but SERIOUS, and we back it with sufficient amounts of number-crunching and astute analysis.
We are emboldened to put our neck on the line since we have done it earlier, even before ISL kicked off by predicting the Top Contenders, Dark Horses, and Below Par teams for the season. We have a success rate of 75 per cent till now, but as the rounds pick up we see us bettering this achievement.
For the remaining matches, we start with Round 4 which commences from today. The four games see a double-header for Chennaiyin and much-needed rest for FC Goa, which had mixed results from a double-header in the previous round. We take into consideration multiple factors to zoom in on who we think has the immediate upper hand in this contest of near equals called the Indian Super League.
