Materazzi dedicates team's thumping win against FC Goa to Big B
CHENNAIYIN FC COACH Marco Materazzi dedicated his team's 4-0 victory over FC Goa to Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, the father of club co-owner Abhishek Bachchan.
"I dedicate the victory to Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan as well as my players," Materazzi said about Bachchan who turned 73.
It indeed came at the right moment as the super machans lost their first two games and going in for this game, there was immense pressure and their star players did not fail to perform (Mendoza and Elano).
Talking about his team's first win in style, he said,
"We started with the right attitude and kept the same throughout the match which helped us to create so many chances.
"Unlike in the last two matches, today we had the right understanding between defenders, midfielders and the strikers which helped us in our win," stated the Italian.
