ISL 2019-20 HIGHLIGHTS - An own goal and a penalty sink NorthEast United in Goa

FC GOA SOLIDIFIED their place at the top of the ISL points table, beating NorthEast United 2-0 at home.

Making the tough visit to Fatorda, NEUFC were determined to keep their defence solidified; and throughout the first half they were more of less successful.

But about 68 minutes in, a critical error by goalkeeper Pawann Kumar led to a deflection by defender Mislav Komorski going into their own net; a demoralising own goal that put NEUFC behind despite all their efforts. To make matters worse, Corominas was brought down by Leudo inside the Highlanders' penalty box. Leudo got the red card and Coro converted the penalty, sealing a 2-0 win for the Gaurs.

Meanwhile, FC Goa now have 24 points from 12 matches. They are top of the table having won 5 of their last 6 with one loss coming against Bengaluru FC.
