Below Par: DELHI DYNAMOS FC

With the legendary Roberto Carlos as their player-manager, the Dynamos are looking to turn around the disappointments of the first season, where they missed out on a semi-final berth by one point. They have tried hard to strengthen the squad and learn from past mistakes. They have undergone a pretty good pre-season in Sweden and Denmark as well. But their squad depth is of a major concern as two injuries in any one department can make things fall right apart. Roberto Carlos, in spite of having vast experience as a player and a couple of managerial stints under his belt, has never experienced anything as congested and hectic as ISL, and neither have his experienced foreigners on which the entire operation depends. When in a crucial battle they miss a couple of veteran lions, the whole Pride will be pickle. The Indians, while reasonably more experienced than last season, still lack the kind of quality to support their international colleagues. Much as we like Carlos, we don't see Delhi Dynamos making the top four.
