Ishfaq Ahmed

The 32 year old attacking midfielder is a veteran I-League campaigner having played for Salgaocar, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, and Mohammedan SC. He was the first Kashmiri to captain Mohun Bagan and was part of the club's team that played against Bayern Munich. He made some attacking runs down the left flank during the match which made Bayern coach after the match say that Ishfaq was the best player for Mohun Bagan. After the 2012-13 season, he joined the Kerala Blasters and appeared 9 times for the club scoring a goal in the semifinals which proved crucial to help the club reach the finals. He was then on loan to Mohammedan and will now be ready for another ISL season. Ahmed is a versatile player who can play anywhere across the midfield, up front as a striker, and can even fill in as a fullback. He possesses good dribbling skills and speed and will be a key part of the team's campaign.
