ISL 2017: Jamshedpur FC looking to halt the multi goal-scorers of Chennaiyin FC

Steve Coppell’s team have emerged from being goalless champions to lift themselves in the league table with two victories in three games.

Chennaiyin FC were on a roll when they bounced back with three victories after the opening loss.

This is Jamshedpur FC’s third home game, the home results have been a draw and a loss. For Chennaiyin FC, they will play their fourth away game and they have won two and lost one on the road.

Steve Coppell, continues to have to handle the problem of his side not been able to score. Their two victories have come at the only times Jamshedpur FC have manage to score. The last one came from a penalty goal. Jamshedpur FC have a good defensive line up even without the missing injured-troubled Anas Edathodika. The center of the strong defence is Tiri, who gets in the crucial blocks and interceptions.

Chennaiyin, on the other hand, have no trouble scoring in each game. They seem to find a different goal scorer in each game and it has been the strength of the team and the reason being able to score in almost each game. Even when the strikers were not firing, the defenders and midfielder took responsibilities of goal-scoring.

Key Players

Subrata Paul - Part of the reason of having conceding just one goal is the Spider man in goal. His performance along with the defence is expected to be on at his best if Jamshepur are to stop Chennaiyin FC.

Raphael Augusto - The midfielder has been a longstayed player for the team and delivers an all-round performance consistently.

For Coppell, it will be tough task to stop this Chennaiyin team from scoring and at the same time to work to get a goal for themselves. John Gregory’s CFC are up against a good defensive team that conceded just one time in six games this season.
