IPL 2018: Season 11 auction to be held on January 27 and 28 in Bengaluru 

THE AUCTIONS FOR IPL’s season 11 is set to be held in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28.

It is learnt that the franchises will have more cash at their disposal after the Governing Council permitted the rise of budget from INR 66 crore to INR 80 crore. As reported by PTI, a BCCI official working close to the development said,

"Since most of the capped players will be back in auction, it will be a mega auction that will be held in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28. Since Bengaluru has been hosting all previous auctions, that was the choice of franchises."  

Sources reported that subject to television broadcasters Star India’s approval, the BCCI is likely to prepone the kick-off of the upcoming IPL matches to 7 pm instead of 8. It is understood that IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla floated the aforementioned idea during the Governing Council’s meeting and it was welcomed by the franchises.
