UFC Norfolk Results: Dustin Poirier outclasses Anthony Pettis, Matt Brown Knocks out Diego Sanchez

THE MIXED MARTIAL ARTS FANS IN NORFOLK was treated to an excellent fight card by UFC last night.

Poirier secured a third round TKO win

Main evented by a highly contested fight between Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis, the fight card had a string of highlight reel moments.

Poirier secured a TKO win in the third round against Pettis. The first round saw both fighters having their own moments. In the second however, Poirier bloodied Pettis so much that the fight had to be stopped to wipe the blood out of Pettis’ face.

In the third, Pettis reached a point where he could not continue due to what seemed like a rib injury.

Matt Brown did what he does best and KO’d Diego Sanchez with an insane elbow in the first round. After the fight, Brown showed great respect to his opponent and also had a great moment with his children inside the octagon.

Andrei Arlovski went home with a unanimous decision win over Junior Albini who broke the internet with his weird shorts which looked like diapers. Cezar Ferreira and Nate Marquardt had a close fight with the former winning via split decision.

Elsewhere, Clay Guida secured a first round TKO win and petitioned for a new contract after the fight. Raphael Assuncao also picked up a win on the main roster.
