The Pakistan Super League will be held in Doha, Qatar and is scheduled to begin on February 04, 2016. Apart from the swashbuckling Gayle and the enterprising Sammy, other West Indian cricketers such as the big-hitting Keiron Pollard, all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, spin bowlers Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine have shown their interest in playing the tournament.
Retired Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan and spinner Ajantha Mendis, along with Thisara Perera have also shown interest in representing one of the five sides in the PSL.
PSL is likely to get even bigger with the inclusion of New Zealand’s 2015 World Cup semi-final hero, Grant Elliot, as well as Australia’s best-ever T20 batsman, Brad Hodge.
The PCB have also roped in ex-cricketers Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja as ambassadors to the high-profile tournament.
