Overview

India might play 3 spinners and 2 pacers and Rohit might have to sit out. KL Rahul is out too with fever. For Lanka, Chandimal won't be playing this test either. First two days in Galle likely to be batting friendly. However, rain is predicted for all five days. 

Probable 11

IND- Dhawan, Mukund, Pujara, Virat, Rahane, Saha, Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep, Umesh, Shami/Ishant

SRI- Tharanga, Karuratne, Dickwella, Mendis, Mathews, D Silva, Gunaratne, D Perera, Herath, Lakmal, Kumara/N Pradeep 

Players who cannot be ignored 

Pujara- Is a Test specialist and has been the back bone of Indian batting lately in the longer format. Can really bat for longer periods. 

Herath- The Lankan skipper will keep bowling and has all the class to be amongst the wickets in both innings. His record back home is quite incredible. 

Virat- Regardless of the format, the Indian captain remains a sure pick. Given the inexperienced Lankan batting, he could pile on the runs. 

Dickwella- He will keep wickets for the hosts and can bat very aggressively too. He can bat up the order and can even settle down if need be.
