Best: Opening Segment
Quite recently in the GOT season 7’s premiere episode, Arya Stark slaughtered her enemies in a very strong opening segment which set the tone for the rest of the episode. Thus, the opening segment is probably the most important segment of a show. It helps set the tone for the rest of the show. It also pulls and draws in the viewers in watching the rest of the show. WWE often try hard to make their opening segments memorable. They usually fail in making the opening segment enthralling. However, they got today’s opening segment to be perfect.
SD Live kicked off with WWE champion Jinder Mahal and his cronies, i.e. The Singh Brothers inside the Punjabi Prison. The Singh Brothers went on to explain the practicalities of the match. The WWE champion then took the microphone and went on to deliver a borderline great promo in which he warned and called-out Randy Orton and berated the audience in Hindi. The Viper then came out and interfered the Modern-day Maharaja. The segment ended with Orton declaring that he will reclaim the WWE title at Battleground.
It was a rather simple yet brilliant start to the show as fans got a taste of what to expect from Battleground’s WWE title match.
