INDIAN ACES: Patna Pirates heavily relying on Pardeep Narwal's brilliance to seek title hat-trick

THE PATNA PIRATES are the reigning champions of the Pro Kabaddi League. The team owned by Rajesh V Shah’s KVS Energy and Sports Limited had a decent run in the initial two seasons, finishing third and fourth. Thereafter, the franchise went to lift the trophy in the third edition and retain it in the fourth.

Ahead of the auction, the two-time champions retained their star raider Pardeep Narwal. The Pirates did not have a great time at the bidding event as they seemed to let many veterans out of their grip. Also, following a controversial incident, where Patna failed to get the attention of auctioneer Hayton, it lost out on an opportunity to acquire Rohit Kumar. Subsequently, they built a semi-experienced yet promising squad for Narwal to lead in their upcoming campaign.
