Surjeet Singh to lead Bengal Warriors in Pro Kabaddi season 5

BENGAL WARRIORS have announced that star defender Surjeet Singh will lead their team in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi season five. At Rs 73 lakh, Surjeet was amongst the most expensive players to be sold at PKL-5 auctions. The right cover defender is known to have previously led the Warriors in their inaugural campaign.

The 26-year-old played an instrumental role in India’s win at the Kabaddi World Cup, held in 2016. With quality raiders like Jang Kun Lee, Deepak Narwal and Maninder Singh in the squad, Surjeet will head the defensive unit and also take charge of the team. 

Surjeet Singh-led Bengal Warriors will play their first game of PKL-5 against Telugu Titans at Hyderabad on August 2.
