Moving away from a club where one has completed a complete development into a top-division player is never an easy decision. But Jayesh Rane made the right choice at the right time when he chose to follow Mumbai FC coach Khalid Jamil to Aizawl FC. Rane the 24 year old who excelled in his wing play at Mumbai FC and ISL's Chennaiyin FC is very well known to the current Aizawl  FC head coach.

At Aizawl FC, Khalid turned this winger a central midfield and Rane has made his mark in his new position at the club. So much so that his brilliant performances were subject questions of why he was not included in the recent national team camp. With his two goals this season, Rane's hold on the midfield is to be commended for his work rate sweeping between the flanks to distribute the play evenly.
