TFG Fantasy Pundit: Well balanced team key for New Zealand v South Africa 1st Test
- By TFG Fantasy Sports
- March 07, 2017
Overview
Morkel will return to the SA playing 11 after a long gap. The Kiwis might decide between Neesham or Colin de. The weather for the first three days looks ok, but doesn’t get too promising after that. The wicket might aid the seamers initially, but likely to settle down nicely for the batsmen later on.
NZ- Raval, Latham, Williamson, Taylor, Nicholls, Watling, Colin, Santner, Southee, Wagner, Boult
SA- Cook, Elgar, Amla, Faf, Duminy, Bavuma, De Kock, Maharaj, Philander, Morkel, Rabada
Players who cannot be ignored
Williamson- He is the most experienced Kiwi batsman and has the class to deal with the formidable SA pace attack.
Philander- He is back to full fitness and will be a tough bloke to negotiate if the ball seams around.
Amla- He might have had an ordinary ODI series, but in Tests, he can really pile on the runs without too many issues.
Quinton- He has the tendency to score quickly even in the Tests batting down the order. Plus, he is likely to catch a few balls and points will also come from that direction.
