Khalid Jamil after beating his former team says it was one of the happiest days of his life

SPEAKING TO THE MEDIA AFTER THE GAME, Jamil seemed delighted after the win and said he shares an emotional bond with his former club, Mumbai FC.

Asked if this win was special for him, replied in the positive and shared,

"Yes, indeed very special. I have been waiting for this moment. I am happy because of the boys, they did very well and they deserve it. I want to thank Robert Sir for believing in me and also want to thank the team manager. This is one of the happiest day of my life."

Compared to earlier games, do you think your defenders had an easy time in the backline?
Khalid took a dig at Kashyap's earliers statements of playing attacking football saying,

"Mumbai play attacking football and have good system of playing. If you saw the match, you must have seen our goalkeeper hardly touched the ball"

Mahmoud Amnah scored the only goal of the game. Jamil, asked if he thought he was the best signing for the team replied,

"Not just Mahmoud Amnah, everyone are a good signing. They are providing great support to Mahmoud. Kamo was unlucky he missed a chance"

Some away matches coming up for Aizawl, next up is Chennai City FC. His thoughts on the next fixture Jamil said,

"We will take it step by step. Chennai are also playing well"

On the question how he rated his opponents yesterday, he was quick to say that he considered Mumbai FC to be his own and went on to say, 

"They are not my opponents. This is my club. I have suffered a lot here and done many things. I am very emotional when it comes to Mumbai FC. I began my career here. I have mixed feelings today. I have given 7 years of my life here. Wihtout fail, I always pray for the owner of the club becasue he believed in me. Now, I have a second owner and will again give it my all"

You had great support for the game, how he felt about that said,

"Yeah Aizawl supporters are great in support. They also travel a lot to support"

Aizawl travel to Chennai to play Chennai City FC on January 28 at 7:00 p.m.
