Not taking the opponents lightly; Ralte will give his best: BFC coach Albert Roca

BENGALURU FC are about to create history once again as they take on Air Force Club from Iraq in the AFC Cup final tomorrow in Doha.

BFC are the first Indian club to achieve this feat and if they can win the title, it will be an icing on the cake.

The head coach Albert Roca who has had an unbeaten run so far after taking up the responsibilities from Ashley Westwood does not want to look down upon the opponents.

"It's an important game and the players know it but at the end of it all, it's just another game. As professionals, the players know that we have a tough team up against us in Air Force Club. The most important thing is to be as prepared as possible. It's not only about defending well, we need a good balance in the performance as transitions should be quick between the attacking and defending units," he said at the pre-match press conference.

He further added that there is no added pressure.

"There's no pressure. All the games I've been in charge here have been important games and I can say that these players are up for the task and they're ready to go."

Goalkeeper Amrinder Singh will be replaced by Lalthuammawia Ralte for tomorrow's match and there will be some pressure on him playing this high voltage match. But Roca believes that he will give his best.

"Ralte is a very good goalkeeper. In his first season here, he had some fantastic individual performances that gave the club some important victories and points. He's always been pushing Amrinder (Singh) for a place in the starting XI and now he's finally got his chance and I know he'll be looking to make it count."
