Saina misses out on fourth Indonesia SSP title losing to Carolina Marin in quarters
HOPES OF A fourth Indonesia Super Series Premier title for Saina Nehwal came crashing down after she was defeated by top seed Carolina Marin in the quarter-final today held in Jakarta.
The eighth seed lost the match in straight games 22-24, 11-21, Marin dominating the match throughout. In the first game, Saina displayed some fighting spirit extending it to 24 points but the second game was a cake-walk for the Spainard.
With Saina's exit, it ends the Indian representation in the tournament.
