Sindhu knocked out, Saina and Prannoy enter semi-finals of Swiss GPG

SIXTH SEED PV SINDHU'S campaign in the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold was ended by unseeded Chinese shuttler He Bingjiao 21-13, 21-15 in the quarter-finals. 

The Chinese dominated the match throughout and gave no chance to Sindhu to come back. 

Meanwhile, top seed Saina Nehwal continued her good run as she defeated seventh seed Japanese Sayaka Sato in a match that went on for three games, 13-21, 21-15, 21-14. She will next face third seed Wang Yihan of China. The head-to-head count is dominated by the Chinese, 9-4.

The lone shuttler in the men's singles category, HS Prannoy put up a formidable performance to oust 16th seed Thai shuttler Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk in a thrilling three-games match, 21-18, 22-24, 21-9.

The 13th seed Indian will now face Tzu Wei Wang of Taipei later today. Prannoy trails in the head-to-head count, 0-1.
