Srikanth in semis as Ajay ousted of the Malaysia Masters GPG
INDIAN MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER Kidambi Srikanth needed just 33 minutes to seal a spot in the semi-finals of the $120,000 Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold at the Spice Arena in Malaysia on Friday.
The second seed shuttler was up against Chinese Huang Yuxiang for the first time and defeated him in straight games 21-15, 21-14.
Srikanth will now face Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin of Malaysia and the head-to-head count is 1-0 in favour of the Indian shuttler.
On the other hand it was the end of the road for Ajay Jayaram as he was ousted by top seed Lee Chong Wei in straight games 16-21 16-21.
