TFG Fantasy Pundit: Fantasy cricket tips for ENG v SA first ODI at Leeds

Overview

Jos Butler and Ben Stokes return to the England team for this series against the Proteas. We expect good batting conditions in Leeds, but there is likely to be early assistance for the seamers. Because this is a run-up series to the Champions Trophy, expect both teams to experiment and therefore, don't be surprised at some shocking selection.

Probable 11

SA- Amla, Kock, ABD, Duminy, Faf, Miller, Morris, Pretorius/Parnell, Tahir, Phehlukwayo, Rabada

ENG- Roy/Billings, Hales, Root, Morgan, Stokes, Butler, Rashid/Ali, Plunkett, Woakes, Wood, Ball/Willey

Players who cannot be missed

Root- He was simply magnificent in the recently concluded ODIs vs Ireland. England batting will revolve around him and he has also started to contribute with the ball lately.

Amla- He will open the batting and understand the English conditions better than most. For his technique and credentials in the fifty over format, it will be stupid to play without him.

Morris- Will open the bowling for the visitors and has the habit of picking wickets regularly. Don't forget, he can also be super handy with the willow.

Stokes- The MVP for England. Will chip in with fantasy points in almost every department. Drop him at your own peril.

De Kock- The South African keeper is back to full fitness and did extremely well in the practice games. You just don't play without him in limited overs cricket. Will open the batting and keep wickets.
